The KitzAlpBike Festival takes place every year in June. For three days the neighbouring Brixental Valley becomes a mecca for MTB riders, with lots of great highlights for participants and visitors.

Once you have your bike and all the necessary safety equipment, it is time to head out and explore the 800 kilometres of trails in the Kitzbühel Alps. Popular rides in the region lead past the famous Mausefalle (Mouse Trap) jump on the Streif downhill ski run, through the lush green Grasberge mountains, to nearby alpine lakes and all the way up to the craggy peaks of the Wilder Kaiser. A (quite literally!) breathtaking experience.
A hearty meal at one of the huts in the mountains is the perfect reward at the end of a tough ride. Don't forget to try the dried bacon and homemade cheese.
The easy way into the high mountains of Kitzbühel
Every guest has their own motivation for riding. For some it is about visiting the most beautiful places in the region using pure leg power, while others enjoy benefitting from a little extra battery boost provided by an e-bike.
Whatever your personal preference, the Sporthotel Reisch is the ideal base for cyclists wishing to explore the region around Kitzbühel. Many cable cars remain open during the summer months and transport both riders and their bikes into the high mountains in the blink of an eye. The bottom of the Hahnenkammbahn cable car is just a short walk from the hotel.
Whatever your experience and fitness level, the wide range of routes on offer mean there is plenty of riding for everyone.

Downhill mountainbiking in Kitzbühel
Riders with the "need for speed" should get their hands on the KitzTrailCard. This card designed for downhillers and ambitious mountainbikers gives holders access to the cable cars in the region, which transport both riders and their bikes high into the mountains. Up at the top there is time for a spectacular selfie before embarking on an adrenaline-pumping descent. Options include the Flecklalm Trail, the longest singletrail route in Tyrol (7.5km & 1000 vertical metres). Tickets are available for four hours or a full day.
